In what would be one of the most sensational swoop,Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson has set his sights on Juventus’s Patrick Viera.
Sir Alex hasn’t kept it a secret that he admires Viera, and with the search for a midfield powerhouse to bolster United’s fortunes in the coming season being a little disappointing as they failed to land their main target Micheal Ballack (Chelsea), it looks certain that United will try their best to lure the frenchman to Old Trafford.
But Viera is not the only frenchman on Sir Alex’s mind, Marseille’s Franck Ribbery is also on the shortlist, so is Villarreal’s Juan Roman Riquelme (£15m).
Viera is concerned with the current match-fixing investigation which could result in the Italian champions being relegated to Serie B.
He is not comfortable with the current situation and has also recently been linked with a return to Arsenal but has refused to comment on his future.
So..Viera to Man Utd?…would it be a smart choice?..or would joining Arsenal (Champions League Finalist) and teaming up again with Henry be a better choice?

Personally I would not like to see Viera on the same team as Christiano Ronaldo…Viera is a warrior and a team player Ronaldo on the other hand …..plain selfish.
