Rumors are that Sir Alex and Man Utd are going all out to lure Chelsea’s Icelandic international striker Eidur Gudjohnsen to Old Trafford.

However they face stiff competition from F.C Barcelona, the reigning European Champions.

It said that Barcelona have not met Gudjohnsen’s “basic” salary demands of 3.2 Million Euros per year, but have offered him a 3 year deal plus bonuses and incentives.

If United aquire the £10million rated striker, if would most definitely mean star striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be out of the squad for next season.It looks likely that Gudjohnsen will head over to United as MU have settled their dispute (John Obi Mikel) with Chelsea and gained £12million
in settlement,the amount gained would be sufficient to land the icelandic striker.
