arjen robben holland

The dutch have done it!

Holland have done what they came to do..and that is survive the ‘group of death’.

They haven’t done it with a concrete result,as in a flaterring 3-0 win, but have carved out a win nonetheless.

From the first whistle, Holland were in control of play, they practically dictated the first half an hour of the game, however Serbia grew in confidence but again, rarely tested Van Der Sar in the holland goal.

Arjen Robben

Well, what can i say…Robben scored the winner and from than on it was like the “ARJEN ROBBEN SHOW”, Robben against Serbia & Montenegro, and by the way a little trivia, Serbia & Montenegro are actually two seperate countries..they recently went thier seperate ways...so technically this is their first & last world cup together and the first country to play in the cup who are actually two countries…make sense…no?…nevermind :P

Back to the game, Ruud van Nistelrooy looked a little sluggish and needs to desperately get his name on the scoresheet if wants to pick and choose his club..he will definitely leave Man Utd soon.I think dutch coach Marco van Basten should be a little worried based on today’s game, becuase if you had watch the game you would agree with me that most, if not all of Holland’s attack came from the left wing…and who’s on the left wing?..ding..ding..ding!..Robben,that’s a pity because Robbie van Persie had almost nothing to do,the only part i can recall him is when he layed the ball for Robben’s goal..apart from that i really didn’t see Holland taking the initiative from the right wing.

Serbia though were not humbled in any sense, they proved themselves worthy opponents to Holland as did Ivory Coast to Argentina.I would say Ognjen Koroman was their main player, he really got things moving when he arrived at the scene in the 43rd minute.
He should be in the starting line up in the next game i would think.Milosevic and Kezman really didn’t do anything much and in fact looked at odds with each other, many times they were both attacking the same ball..what’s up with that?!..

Also a little thing i noticed…this is called the group of death..Group C..could ‘C’ possibly mean Chelsea?!..hahaa, after all besides Saviola, all the other three strikes were from Crespo -Drogba-Robben = Chelsea?..lol

This group seems (so far) to be producing the best games, well i’m off now for a little nap..need to rest those eyes before twinkles toes and buddies take on Angola.

Ahh..World Cup..it’s a beautiful thing.
