In what has been one of the more exciting games of this tournament so far,Italy has proven themselves to be a little more flamboyant and skillfull as oppose to what they have been known,that is a dull team.
Italy overcame a brave Ghanaian side 2-0 thanks to goals from Andrea Pirlo (40) and Vincenzo Iaquinta (83).Ghana, and especially Roma’s defender Samuel Kuffour would feel gutted after a brilliant display of skill and composure on the ball.
Ghana’s goalie, Richard Kingston has to be one of the best players for his side in yesterday’s game,producing brilliant one on one saves from the Italians.
The game was always on high tempo,never was there a dull moment as both Ghana and IItaly place pressure on each other’s goal as soon as they had the ball,and with a 50-50% possesion of the ball,you would say they were pretty even,besides the 2 goals that is ;).
Among the stars for Italy were Pirlo,Totti,Toni and most definitely the ever present Fabio Cannavaro.
Michael Essien,Appiah,Kingston and Asamoah Gyan were the best Ghanaians on the pitch.
