WOW,that was fast ain’t it? We are already at the brink of round 2 (Round Of Sixteen) of the Fifa World Cup.
Here are the fixtures ( and my predictions) for Round 2 (Games 1 & 2):
Game 1

Markus Allback
Germany
v.s Sweden
Host nation Germany take on Group B runner-up Sweden in the first game of round 2.
You can expect the usual suspects to strutt their stuff in this game, taking note that this is where it gets exciting as NO draw games are allowed..there MUST be a winner.
Who will shine?
Germany : Phillip Lahm,Ballack,Klose,Frings,Podolski and i believe Jens Lehmann will come to the fore.
Sweden : Olof Melberg,Larsson,Zlatan,Ljungberg,Allback and Teddy Lucic.
Preview By Fifa
Who Will Win it?
Based on what i’ve seen & based on current form i can’t see anything else but a German win today.Sweden look a little sluggish while Germany keep getting better and better,it would take a very big effort from sweden to upset the host nation.
My final score prediction : Germany 2 -1 Sweden

Ballack -The engine of Germany
Game 2
Argentina
v.s Mexico

Jared Borgetti is Back..
The most impressive team in the group stages,Argentina take on a plucky Mexico, who will be boosted by the return of their talismatic star striker Jared Borgetti.
Looking at the 23 man squad of Argentina, the only name i seem to not recall is reserve goalie Oscar ustari, the other 22 are just some of the best players you will ever see on the world stage, and how Jose Pekerman has managed to assembled such a side and keep them in perfect harmony with each other is a amazing!.

Impressive Messi
Mexico are the unpredictable team in this tournament, but as Portugal proved,it’s easy to contain and frustrate them..and the thing is Argentina plays a similar style of football, that is possesion football..so technically if Argentina get to keep the ball for long periods in this game as Portugal did against Mexico, than it would seem likely that the South Americans would qualify…
Who Will Shine?
Argentina : Seriously…the WHOLE team!
Mexico: Marquez,Borgetti,Pineda,Oswaldo Sanchez and Suarez
Who Will Win It?
Again, based on current from I would say Argentina,i believe this is their year to finally shine.
Mexico will go home.
My final score prediction : Argentina 3 -1 Mexico
