Today is the day where ‘loose cannons’ take on ‘the masters’ of the beautiful game and the ‘metadors’ against..errr…..’French Loaf’?

Anywayz it’s real business to day as Black Stars Ghana take on the reigning World Champions Brazil and the always unlucky Spaniards against an ailing French team.
Game 7
The real Special One
Will Ronaldinho finally make his mark today? he’s had a pretty decent World Cup so far,but that’s becuase his role in the Brazil team is so much different from his role at Barcelona.
Ronaldo has shed some weight off his shoulders (bad pun i know..) after scoring a brace against the Japenese, and he’s starting today as Robinho has been ruled out with an injury.
Ghana on the other hand have nothing to lose,they have displayed a care free kind of game that have brought them this far,they should already be proud of themselves for making it this far from a group that contained Italy,Czech Republic and USA.
The question is can this group of care free players do one better than their fellow first time qualifiers -Australia and progress at the expense of the highly talented and firm favourites Brazil?
This game should be a cracker,but i really really hate it that it’s played in the searing heat of the day instead of the cool of night…this could be a factor because after watching some games that were played at similar times it really didn’t turned out to be a spectacle.
Who will shine?
Brazil : Ronaldinho,Ronaldo,Kaka and Emerson..they hold the key.
Ghana: Essien,Appiah,Boateng,Muntari and Mensah.
Who Will Win it?
Yet another intresting game, i expect the experience to show one again and the masters should show the new boys the exit door.My money is on Brazil to qualify.

Cool Spaniards
Another game to savour, Spain a side that is brimming with young talent against France a side that WAS brimming with young talent.
Let’s face it, France pretty much struggled in thier group and thier only win was from who?…TOGO!..TOGO!..lol, that pretty much sums up thier chances tonight.
The magnificient JOAQUIN will start the game tonight (or so i hear) and he should make the French defence suffer…and if Aragones deiced to use the pacy Reyes as well than i really can’t see anything but a spanish victory,in my opinion France shouldn’t have made it this far,they had their time and it’s now over better luck next time maybe?
It’s really not so much becuase of the age of the majority of the Frecn squad,but becuase the way Domenech has set his squad style,not impressive at all,while the Spaniards continue to show more confidence and form in their games.

Most definitely the team that is riding on a wave of confidence, and that is Spain.
They should progress within the 90 minutes…but you know football…anything can happen.
2-1 win to Spain imo.
