Italy Into Final After Late Surge

Italy coach Marcello Lippi says his team deserved their win against Germany which took them into the Final, and i will agree with that 100%.

No,don’t misunderstand me..i don’t mean that Germany didn’t deserve to go through,for they too played an exceptional game but when all is said and done i believe Italy had that extra edge and hunger to win ,Lippi played an excellent tactic and i just enjoyed this particular game very much.

It was end to end stuff from the first whistle,the first half belonged to Italy,the second was Germany’s and after 90 minutes of action the teams couldn’t be seperated and the scoreline remained 0-0.

There was to be extra time, and Italy hit the woodwork twice with shots from Giladirno & Zambrotta.That was a sign of things to come as Italy,in the dying seconds of the second half in extra time scored 2…yes 2 goals in two minutes,scored by Fabio Grosso with a sweet left foot shot and the win was completed with Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero netting in the second goal,completely shattering German hopes of appearing in back to back finals.

I must say i totally enjoyed this game it might just be the best game of this year’s tournament.

Congrats to Italy, and i sincerely hope that the report or judgement of the Italian scandal that is going on right now won’t be release until after the World Cup,becuase if the report is negative it might affect the players mentality,and the last thing we want in a Cup Final is a boring one sided match!.

People say one player doesn’t make a difference….but without Torsten Frings..Germany look a little less threatening,it didn’t give Ballack the space to go foward and that i believe hurt the German camp in the end.
