Portugal have waited 40 long years to get to this stage again,the last time they were in a semi final in the world cup was in 1966 with the great Eusebio in their team,today they can boast of Figo,Deco,Ronaldo and more.

Portugal will be able to recall Deco and Costinha for this game after both players served their one match ban.The Portugese will be hoping to avenge their defeat to France at the same stage in Euro 2000,where all hell broke lose after the referee awarded a last minute penalty to France which Zidane duly took and scored.
France in the meantime seemed to be proving the critics wrong with each game,showing some really good team play,individual skills which was so evident in their win against the Brazilians.
Can Scolari lift the world cup again…back to back,with different teams? that would be some feat!
I’m hoping for a Portugal win, i think a Portugal v.s Italy final will be much better than France v Italy.
