Dutch national player Dirk Kuyt is set to make a move to Liverpool instead of Newcastle in the next 48 hours.
It’s possible that he snubbed Newcastle in order to play in the Champions League,because he would almost definitely be in the starting 11 for the Magpies had he decided to move there…the Toons of course suffering from striker “shortage” after Alan Shearer retired and Owen was forced to surgery.
Boss Rafa Benitez will finally get his man in the next 48 hours, according to the Daily Mail, after bombarding the Dutch club with a number of offers, including part-exchange deals involving Jerzy Dudek and Jan Kromkamp.
Now the question is…can’t Liverpool get a better striker? I don’t really fancy Kuyt that much based on his exploits in the World Cup and also i’ve seen him play a couple of times in the Dutch League.

Dirk Kuyt is over-rated and we could get so many better strikers for that money!!! Waht a waste Rafa! But credit to him hes signed such good players this season for us ..
