The 63-year-old led Brazil to World Cup glory in 1994 in his second spell in charge but his third was less successful, his side bowing out of the 2006 World Cup at the quarter-final stage.
He was initially installed as coach of the Selecao in 1984 but lasted just 14 games, winning five.
His second spell at the helm began in 1991, a year after he had coached the United Arab Emirates at Italia 90, and was altogether more successful.
Well i guess it’s about time, i truly believe that Carlos Alberto Parreira wasn’t the man needed by Brazil to be at the helm..he’s kinda like a ’softy’..you never had that with Scolari,he was more of a disciplinarian and he knew how to gel the players together.
That is exactly what Brazil needed…teamwork!
They were 100% favourites to lift the World Cup in Germany but they feel short at the Quarter-Finals to the finalist France….thanks to an awful (or maybe planned ?) Roberto Carlos mistake.
Don’t think it was Carlos’s mistake? than take a look at this:

Anywayz he’s retired from international footy…and he’s proposed plan to move to Chelsea seems far off since Ashley Cole is rumored to be heading there.
