Real Madrid began announcing the capture of Man Utd’s foward Ruud Van Nistelrooy on their website a couple of hours ago, citing that the Dutch national had only to complete a medical check-up,however those claims were buffeted by Sir Alex saying that Madrid’s bid of £10million is far from United £15million valuation of the player.

However, Ferguson has flatly denied the speculation, confirming Real have yet to meet a valuation the Red Devils find acceptable.

Madrid immediately apologised in a statement on their site saying:

‘The club would like to clarify that Realmadrid.com compile different reports, news stories and profiles of players that might join the club, including one on the Dutchman but they are merely for internal use,’ Real said in a statement.

‘This profile appeared on the club website for a few minutes because of a computer error, but such pieces are normally only published after the official announcement of a deal between the two clubs.

‘Real would like to apologise for any misunderstanding caused by the error.’

But i guess it’s just a matter of time before Madrid meets the £15million mark.

In the meantime Sir Alex is happy to find out that his chinese national foward, Dong Fangzhou, will be able to play for United from december 2006 as he will qualify for a european passport.
