Here’s one you don’t see everyday,disgrace Brazil coach (yea he quit the national team) is now set to take the vacant position with South Africa, according to a Football Association (SAFA) official in the country.
Parreira resigned from his job with Brazil after seeing his team eliminated from the World Cup at the quarter-final stage with a 1-0 defeat to France. The coach admitted on Thursday that he was considering an offer from South Africa, and SAFA director Michael Palmer told the Mail & Guardian newspaper a deal is imminent.
“It is merely a formality now; the only thing that we are waiting for is his signature and it might be announced over the weekend,” he said.
So, he failed to take the former World Champs and HOT favs (Brazil) past the quater-finals but gets the job of the next World Cup host in 2010?!
Amazing..looks like we havent seen the last of Carlos Alberto Parreira yet..
