Former Arsenal player Jermaine Pennant who now plays his football with relegated Birmingham City is set to make a switch bake to the Premiership with Liverpool employing his services.
The former England Under-21 winger was believed to have travelled to Merseyside on Tuesday night for talks, and is expected to fly out to Switzerland later today if the medical and contract details are completed.
Intresting move by Liverpool, bringing in yet another talented youngster, however this particular youngster has something in common with one of Liverpool’s other new boy - Craig Bellamy…the similarity? - discipline problems.
Will be intresting to see how Rafa Benitez handles two “bad boys”.
