Very pleased with the signing of Carrick but just as dissapointed to see RVN go. However I’m quite excited by the prospect of Smith partnering Rooney up front. Mascherano looked awesome at the world cup and I reckon he would be an awesome signing. With Mascherano as the holding midfielder, Carrick as the real central man and Scholes attacking United’s midfield should be back to its very best next season. Forget Torres just get Mascherano at any cost, Sir Alex! Smith is an awesome striker and Saha is pretty good backup. Anyway Rooney on his own would probably be good enough regardless of who you put next to him.

Utd hav lost der goal machine in Ruud, im a newcastle fan and say dey hav to fill in the void left by him. U hav the money, sign Torres to bolster the attack. Wid him n rooney up front, I c d most deadliest strike partnership in the whole of Europe. Also a parner for carrick in C-mid, i say go for mascherano, he proved it on d world stage, wt more evidence u want of d guy. Hes 22, torres 23 and carrick 25, luks like utd hav a solid young team and building for the future! if ders 1 team dt cn beat chelsea in winning the premiership, its man utd. Utd need another player to partner Carrick, mascherano is the man, also we’v lost Ruud, nw its time to sign another goal machine, Torres. Hes 23, got pace and skill and can bag goals. SAF u knw wt the fans want, do it!! Moneys not an issue.
