Dutch “terrier” Edgar Davids has pledge to stay at white hart lane for at least another year, squashing rumors he was heading back to his first club Ajax Amsterdam.
At the end of last season, Davids admitted he was unsure whether the would see out the rest of his contract at White Hart Lane.
But Martin Jol has confirmed that Davids, 33, is to stay at Tottenham after rejecting the opportunity to go back home to his first club.
Davids is a good player make no mistakes about it, in fact i am really suprise he and Seedorf were not included in the Dutch team in this year’s World Cup, i believe they would have helped
the team progress, especially in that crunch game against Portugal, i believe thet experience by the “older” players would have changed the outcome, but alas it’s all over now.
This is indeed good new for Martin Jol as Carrick has already left the Lane and it looks likely that Wigan’s Pascal Chimbonda won’t be a Tottenham player anytime soon agter Wigan and Spurs failed to reach an agreement for the services of the Frenchman.
