Jose Antonio Reyes is desperate to see his prospective move from Arsenal to Real Madrid wrapped up “as soon as possible”.
The Arsenal man now seems destined for Spain and it will be yet another quality player leaving the Gunners as Ashley Cole is also set to leave soon. This moves has frustrated one player at least, and it’s Thiery Henry, he doesn’t seem happy at all at the prospects of losing Cole and Reyes this season and one wonders if he is finally thinking of quiting the Gunners himself, although it might not happen this season as he has already signed up a new contract, it will be possible for a move to Barca next season though….
Reyes didn’t play in Arsenal’s 3-0 triumph at Dinamo Zagreb,as playing that game would have meant either a significant drop in price tag for his move to Madrid (as he won’t be able to play for them in Europe) or the move could not happen at all.
This is what Reyes had to say about his impending move away from the Emirates Stadium “Me and my family are somewhat tense at the moment and want to make sure things don’t collapse,” he told Spanish daily AS. “But I’m optimistic things will work out well in the end.
“I want things to be sorted out as soon as possible and I will have my mobile turned on all day on Wednesday in case there are any important calls.”
