<description>Roma coach Spalletti stalls contract talks
August 07, 2006

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admits he's put off new contract talks. "They wanted to me renew my contract," Spalletti said, "but I prefer to wait. We'll soon have to sit down."
He added: "I came to Roma to work with Francesco Totti. When I agreed to join, they promised me some big signings. Totti is right to demand them now.

"I know the market is difficult, but to improve Roma this season we need to make two big buys."</description>
