Cristiano Ronaldo played well in Man Utd’s 3-0 demolition of Sevilla at Old Trafford to mark the opening of the new squadrons at the Old Trafford Stadium.
The Portuguese winger scored one and set up another as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side warmed up for the Premiership season in style against the UEFA Cup holders.
Goals from Louis Saha, Cristiano Ronaldo and young substitute David Jones ensured the stadium’s £43million extension was opened with a win, following a goalless first hour.

While earlier in the day Liverpool and England’s new vice-captain labelled Ronaldo “a disgrace” for his part in the sending-off of Wayne Rooney in the World Cup quarter-final last month.
The statement was made as part of a serialised autobiography published by News of the World,
Gerrard went on to say “What really (got to) all the England players was Ronaldo’s wink to his bench. It was a wink which said ‘job done’. How could he do that to his Manchester United team-mate?
“On the bus after the game Wayne asked me ‘what do you think about the wink?’.
“‘Honestly, Wazza, if we were playing Spain and Xabi Alonso or Luis Garcia winked at the referee or gave a signal for me to be sent off, I’d never speak to them again.”
Can’t wait for the United -Liverpool game this season..extra spice and flavour!!
