German club Hamburg has shown interest in attaining the services of Newcastle’s Jean-Alain Boumsong.
The Bundesliga side have already completed the signing of Vincent Kompany but the departure of Daniel van Buyten to Bayern Munich means coach Thomas Doll has to look for another defender.Ivory Coast’s full-back Arthur Boka who impressed many during the World Cup has also been mentioned as a possibility to make a switch to Hamburg.
“He wants to come to HSV (Hamburg),” revealed his international team-mate Guy Demel, who moved to Hamburg last year.
I think Newcastle won’t lose much, Boumsong rarely if ever set the field on fire with his performances for the Magpies, in fact i think they will be better off without the French international who’s calamities is only second to the calamity master himself -David James.
