Newcastle’s Jean-Alain Boumsong has joined Serie B’s Juventus for a fee of £3.3million after both clubs agreed on it and Juve have offered Boumsong a four-year contract.
Amazingly he will still continue to don a black & white strip! ![]()
The 26-year-old joined Newcastle from Ranger last year for £8million which means Newcastle have actually incured a lost for selling him at a low price of £3.3million, that’s how much they wanted to get rid of him!
For all they hype surrounding him, he never actually performed consistenly for the Toons, in fact he endured a run of bad form after arriving at St James’ Park and made a number of noticeable errors.
A statement to the Stock Exchange read: ‘The directors of Newcastle United plc wish to announce that the transfer of Jean-Alain Boumsong from Newcastle United to Juventus has been finalised this afternoon.’
At Juventus he will link up with fellow Frenchman Trezeguet provided Trezeguet doesn’t move to Lyon that is.
