It’s definitely not a cure for the heartache of failure at the World Cup, but Brazil would have pleased some fans of theirs if not all after thumping Argentina 3-0 in a friendly game in Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

Elano was the hero of the day as he scored two goals, the midfielder from Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk got on the scoresheet in the third minute after a beautiful through ball by Robinho allowed him to beat Roberto Abbondanzieri at his near post with ease.

Of the 11 players that started the game for Brazil only 2 were from the team that lost to France in the quater-finals as new coach Dunga looks to find his own niche and formula for the 5 time Champions.

Brazil were without Ronaldinho and Ronaldo with the Barcelona man sitting out the game with a back injury while the Real Madrid man is still recovering from his recent knee operation.

Robinho was running the show for Brazil, but the youngster missed a great chance to double the lead in the 29th minute, breaking into the area but then looking for a lay-off when a shot was needed.

Elano scored his second goal in the game in the 66th minute after Kaka had put hom through.

West Ham duo Tevez and Mascherano had action for the first time since their transfer deadline day move on Thursday, but neither player had much joy in the early stages as both looked pretty rusty.

Kaka completed the route when he took the ball from his own half with an amazing run to beat 2 defenders before slipping the ball under Abbondanzieri to seal victory.
