Real Madrid’s David Beckham is said to be linked with a move to the United States, having received an offer from the New York Red Bull, according to ‘The People’.
Becks is also at the moment locked in a contract negotiation with Real Madrid with club president Ramon Calderon saying he would be delighted if the 31-year-old would continue to be a Madrid player.
“He is one of the most charitable and lovely people I’ve met. I’d love him to stay because he’s a great player,” Calderon told the club’s website.
He continued, “he has been a starter in some games and now he is enjoying some minutes but he cannot play in every game, he is a genius on and off the pitch and he is a wonderful person in every sense.”
In the meantime rumors are brewing that the New York Red Bulls offered Beckham no less than 100 million Euros to play for their club next season.That’s a lot of money and i think Becks will definitely consider that as i’ve never heard a player who is over the age of 30 gaining such a huge salary, much less in the MLS!.
It might just work out for the Red Bulls as they are financially supported by Oil tycoon Philip Anschutz. Beckham and Anschutz have already cooperated in the past, working on football schools in Manchester and Los Angeles.
Becks has already one high profile kid in his footy school in Maddox the son of Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie.
