Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse who is now on a season long loan deal with Marseille has suffered a setback in his comeback attempt after suffering a sickening broken leg in the summer in a friendly game against China just before the World Cup kicked off.

Marseille coach Albert Emon confirmed Cisse will resume light training “in a little under three weeks” and added: “He could return in a month and a half to two months. He is training [the leg] slowly, in a good fashion.
“When he starts training with us, we can set his comeback date more clearly.”
It’s quite a pity for Cisse really, he has now suffered a broken leg injury twice in his young career
and it’s a shame he hasn’t really made the grade in the Liverpool team, he does have pace and skill but sometimes he really seems to play sickeningly slow and kinda lazy, never chasing for the ball.
Hopefully he recovers soon just as Alan Smith has done at Man Utd.
