World Player of The Year Ronaldinho has come under heavy fire from fans and foes alike for his recent dismal efforts on the field.
Thus far Ronaldinho has not yet made any official comments regarding the criticism hurled at him.
But Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has duly backed his star player saying that the ‘team’ should be blamed and not to single out just one specific player as Ronaldinho is just part of the team.
Fans have blamed the hectic schedule and the Barcelona team for not allowing their star player a break after the World Cup but instead bringing him along for their pre-season friendlies in the USA and Mexico.Barca were quick to point out that it was part of the players contractual obligation.
I do agree with Barca fans, ‘Ronnie’ has been dismal for his high standards but i too think that he needs a rest, imagine playing footy every single day and entering tounaments and champions league etc.Barca ain’t a small club which means they compete at every level so they should be looking at giving Ronnie a break, much good came come out of a refreshed player!.
