I don’t know about you, but i miss Wembley, just the name itself sparks beautiful memories that i have treasured along the years.
The good news is this season’s FA Cup Final will be played at Wembley on May 19th 2007.
The Football Association have secured next year’s FA Cup final at the new Wembley stadium after making the showpiece a key part of the peace settlement with builders Multiplex.
An extra payment of £36million from the FA to Multiplex has been agreed after a lengthy dispute over the cost - but it will only be paid on the condition that the stadium is ready for a grand opening at the final on May 19.
The agreement hinges on Multiplex ensuring the work is completed and sources at the construction company have confirmed the vast majority is now done.
The deal was agreed after a series of meetings between the Football Association, their subsidiary Wembley National Stadium Limited (WNSL) and the stadium builders Multiplex.
I’m really looking foward to the FA Cup final and hopefully Man Utd will be at the final, that would make it all the better for me :).
