I posted earlier (16th november)that Italy’s World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro was tipped to win the Ballon D’Or (European Footballer of the Year) and indeed he has.
His former teammate at Juventus Gianluigi Buffon came in second while Thierry Henry who was hot favourite to win this after appearing in two major finals (Champs League & World Cup) was third while last year’s winner Ronaldinho came in fourth.
Congrats to the winner, a well deserved one i would say as he almost single handedly marshalled the Italian defence on the road to World Cup glory.

What does Thierry have to do to be recognised yet again as the best player in the world. he plays in the most physical league and is constantly the top scorer ( 4 out of 5 ) the one he did`nt win he let go on purpose to van nistelrooy. when we lost the league we scored 11 goals in the last two games to which he set up four goals. FIFA`s voteing system is a joke and
is judged obviously on one game or one tournament.
as you have probably guessed i am an arsenal supporter and thierry is a man of worth a true gent and gives back as much as he receives.
