Pompey’s Harry Redknapp is determined to hold on to veteran stars Kanu and Sol Campbell in the January transfer window as Ajax and Chelsea have shwon interests in signing them.
It’s pretty logical that Jose would go for Sol Campbell since the 32-year-old is vastly experienced and can even play for Chelsea in the Champions League since he is not Euro tied.The only reason Sol’s name is mention of course is because of the injury sustained club captain John Terry, it really makes sense to bring in a solid centre back with international experience who will have no problems settling in since he is an englishman and most probably still has a house and all from his days with Arsenal, not to mention and instant understanding with Ashley Cole.
As for Kanu, Ajax Amsterdam has shown interest is signing the player that made his appreance for the club 10 years ago before going on to play for Inter Milan and Arsenal, if Kanu does go he will be pairing up with another veteran - Patrick Kluivert.
I failed to see why either of them will make such a move especially Sol Cambell who would have a double trouble betrayal problem playing for three London clubs - Spurs,Arsenal and Chelsea.I don’t think he will make the move, although Kanu has made it known that he is capable of leaving the club that revived his career.
