The news is a little confusing regarding David Beckham, with his agents claiming that Real Madrid’s offer of a 2 year extension to his contract is still on the table but a report from an Italian TV station claimed Real’s sporting director Predrag Mijatovic said the former England captain will leave the club in the summer.

I’m on Predrag Mijatovic, i don’t think Madrid should and would keep Becks on their payroll.

Ronaldo ‘El Gordo’ however has found himself out of favour with Fabio Capello and may very well consider moving to Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad who has made an offer of 20 million euros to sign Real Madrid´s out-of-favour Brazilian striker.

“We are waiting at any moment for a reply from the Spanish club,” the official said.

He added that Al-Ittihad were offering seven million dollars to Real, with 18 million dollars going to Ronaldo over the three years.

Beckham, who´d previously spent the whole of his professional career with Manchester United, moved to Spain in 2003 after falling out with Old Trafford mentor Sir Alex Ferguson.

He was one of several high-profile signings, along with Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo, who collectively became known as the “galaticos”. But Real haven´t won a major trophy during Beckham´s time in Spain and he himself has drifted out of the first team.
