AC Milan are said to have made a bid for Real Madrid outcast Ronaldo and are offering him a salary of $7.75 million per season, which of course is way lower than Becks, everything seems to be compared to becks doesn’t it?.
According to vice-president Galliani, Milan were not prepared to spend large amounts of money to bring the three-times FIFA World Player of the Year back to Serie A, where he played with Milan’s arch-rivals Inter Milan between 1997 and 2001.
‘The idea is very simple – it is not a loan deal and the contract involves a salary lower than the one I’ve been reading about in today’s papers,’ said Galliani.
‘The offer is to take over the contract (from Real) at zero cost.’
In the meantime, Tottenham Hotspurs are ready to make a £5m bid for Gabriel Heinze.
Spurs boss Martin Jol wants him to fill his problem left-back berth, having lost confidence in his present duo of Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Lee Young-Pyo.
I would really feel bad if Heinze left Utd, he is a great defender with determination and experience, however he is finding it difficult to get into the starting 11 as Patrice Evra has practically stolen the spot from him when he was injured.
With the rumours flying around that Man Utd are aiming to bring Southampton’s 17-year-old Wales international Gareth Bale to Old Trafford it may force Heinze to reconsider his position.
He doesn’t lack interest though with Juventus, Valencia, Inter Milan and his old club Paris St Germain all making their interest in the defender known, however Jol intends to suprise everyone with a transfer in this window instead of the summer.

Obviously Heinze is not the same exploding player he was before he got injured. A pity.
