6 Points, that’s how much Arsene Wenger’s men have taken away from Man Utd, winning at Old Trafford with a late goal (1-0) from Adebayor and today beating Utd again at their brand new stadium 2-1 with yet again a last gasp goal but this time thanks to Thierry Henry.

Wayne Rooney broke his barren spell in the 53rd minute scoring a diving header thanks to a superb cross by Patrice Evra and would have been on their way to extending their lead at the top to 9 points, but Arsene Wenger had other ideas and threw in Robbie Van Persie who actually scored the equalising goal!.

I believe Sir Alex made a mistake when he took off Ronaldo at the closing stages of the game, that move seemed to affect Utd a little on the left flank and true enough Arsenal’s winning goal came from a cross from the right (Utd’s left) as Henry rose above Ferdinand to score that all important winning goal.

Arsenal Revival?

Arsenal has always been a team that played entertaining free flowing footy and they seemed to have suffered ever since the departure of Vieira but it now looks like Arsene has formed a formidble brand new Arsenal side, too be a little ‘techy’ i’ll call it Arsenal 2.0, a team with plenty of flair, attacking minded and best of all most of them are below the age of 25 which means the team can go on for a little longer.

Before the game i had some friends who were fans on both side of the camp, the Utd fans were predicting a bold win while the Arsenal fans seemed pretty satisfied if they settled for a draw, but how things turned out differently! Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners with the place for the 2nd spot and automatic qualification to the Champions League seeming more like a reality.

Man Utd fans however were feeling not too bad since Chelsea did slip up too whilst reminding their Arsenal counterparts that Man Utd did prevent the coveted 50 “unbeaten run”, for now the Arsenal ain’t bothering too mcuha bout that.
