Manchester United regained their 6 point cushion at the top of the table thanks to a superb performance by an inspired Utd side, Cristiano Ronaldo got the ball rolling with a sweetly taken penalty while Vidic, Giggs and Scholes ensured Spurs endured a nightmare at White Hart Lane.
The big win was a little bittersweet and Edwin Van Der Sar suffered what looked like a similar injury to Chelsea’s Petr Chech when Robbie Keane’s knee hit Van Der Sar on the face, the Dutchman was able to walk away from the pitch so i hope it ain’t as serious Petr.
Rio Ferdinand wanted to assume the role as a goalkeeper in the last 5 minutes of the game when Van Der Sar withdrew (Utd used all 3 subs) but O’ Shea stepped in and actually made a couple of telling contribution to ensure the clean sheet.
