Yet another striker is headed to Anfield as it was announced that 27-year-old Ukranian Andriy Voronin of Bayer Leverkusen will join Liverpool in the summer on a 4 year contract.
Voronin is the first player to join Liverpool since the takeover of the club by American tycoons George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
Voronin’s arrival at Anfield would give Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez five options up front unless he opts to offload any of his current quartet of strikers.
Peter Crouch, Craig Bellamy, Dirk Kuyt and Robbie Fowler have battled for the forward slots this season.
