Manchester United produced a superb second half display to trounce Blackburn Rovers 4-1 at Old Trafford after Rovers had taken the lead in the first half.

The scoreline looked like it was to stay the same but Paul Scholes changed all that with a brilliant solo goal that broke through the resilient Rovers defence, and the goal by Scholes fired up United as Park Ji Sung, Carrick and Solskjaer also found the back of the net.

The win momentarily took United to the top with a 9 point lead but Chelsea scrapped through in the dying minuted to win 1-0 at relegated Watford to esnure that the title race goes down to the wire.
