Bernd Schuster, the German coach at La Liga’s Getafe has signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid which means that Fabio Capello’s days are numbered.
The signing of the pre-contract means that if Real decide not to appoint Schuster as Fabio Capello’s successor the former German international will receive €1m. Likewise, if Schuster decides not to rejoin the club where he spent some of his most glorious years as a player he will have to shell out €1m.
Now with that in mind i don’t think Schuster would back out of the deal although it’s highly possible that Real might skip the deal as €1m really isn’t that much to them and it would be harder if somehow Capello inspires the team to the La Liga title.
Schuster is also said to be the man behind the scenes that has encouraged Real Madrid to keep hold on to Cannavaro, and to go after Christophe Metzelder and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the meantime, gold and oldie Roberto Carlos is on his way out of Madrid:
“This time, I really am leaving,” he told the El Pais daily newspaper.
“In previous years, I did not leave in the end because the club did not want me to leave.”
