This season is quiet special, for if you take a closer look at the fixtures in the English Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League and than take a look at the current form of Chelsea and Manchester United you wouldn’t discount the fact that Man Utd and Chelsea could be the winners of all three of share it between themselves.
A Quick Look
There’s the title race in the Premiership between Man Utd and Chelsea, than they are both in the semi-finals of the Champions League and FA Cup.
If (highly likely) Chelsea disposed of Blackburn and United beat Watford that would mean an FA Cup final date between the two, it’s already well known that the duo are in a two horse race for the Premiership crown with just 6 games left and they haven’t played each other yet.
Than there’s the Champions League semi-finals whereby on paper both should qualify for the finals, i know AC Milan and Liverpool fans have something to say about that but i think with Chelsea’s knack of finding late goals and United’s pace and experience both teams look likely to face each other in Athens.
The Possibility..what if?
Ok, so what if everything happened as i imagined above?, well if it does than the month of May 2007 is going to be the hottest month of the year for both club and both sets of fans.
The Premier league meeting the two is on May 9th 2007, the Fa Cup final on 19th May 2007 and the Champions League is set for 23rd May in Athens.
That means it would be 2 weeks that makes or breaks the season for both clubs, either one could be treble (in chelsea’s case quadraple) winners or treble losers.
But as for now it all just remains a dream for both clubs but we shall see the reality of it soon enough, as soon as tommorrow when United take on Watford in the FA Cup.
