The drama never ends in the Spanish Primera Liga as Real Madrid,Barca and Sevilla were all held by their opponents.I’ve never enjoyed such a run in as this as there was drama in all three games.Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored a brace with his second goal coming in the 89th minute while at that same exact moment Espanyol scored their second goal to hold Barca to a 2-2 draw, just before Van Nistelrooy’s 89th minute goal Real were looking like a team that has given up, they look jaded, Becks was suffering an ankle injury and the news that Barca were leading 2-1 was not good either but that all changed as Ruud equalized and Espanyol scored their second, this now means that Real Madrid will be the Champions if they beat Mallorca next week no matter what result Barca will conjur.
Meanwhile at Barca Lionel Messi also scored two goals but his first goal is almost a carbon copy of Diego Maradona’s “Hand Of God” so i guess being dubbed as the next Maradona is quite true.
I think the title now belongs to Real Madrid and it’s a fitting farewell gift to Becks who played brilliantly well despite being injured from the 20th minute onwards, he carried on like a true soldier and at 32 he has incredible stamina indeed.
