Sam Allardyce has to confront a nightmarish situation after learning that Nigerian foward Obafemi Martins has a £13million get-out clause in his contract, this is big news as his strike partner Michael Owen has a get out claus of £9 million, which means that in the worst case scenario that the two clauses are activated Big Sam will be without his two frontman.

Martins recently said he was happy at Newcastle, but the north-east newspaper claims Arsenal will make a move if they lose Thierry Henry.

It is also reported that the club wanted to remove the clause from his contract after an impressive spell mid-season, but that would have meant ripping up his £60,000 a-week deal and giving him a new one.
