Ok, so it’s now confirm that Chelsea said bye bye to Mourinho and that the Portugese could well pocket a whopping £25m in compensation after three years in charge of the Blues as part of the severance package and that his emotional farewell left Didier Drogba and others in tears.
So the appearant question that is set before us is…What’s up next for Mourinho? which team will he guide next? and who could actually afford him?.The bookmarkers have made their move and here are some possible destinations for the Special One:
Portugal
This seems the most likely destination, Mourinho has never hid the fact that he would love to coach his country and maybe he would get the job sooner than expected as Scolari’s team is stuttering a little and not to mention that punch scandal that has yet to be resolved.
I don’t think it would be a problem for Portugal to get rid of Scolari and install Mourinho as the man in charge if the former Chelsea man is indeed looking for a new job a.s.a.p.
Barcelona
Wow, this also seems a high possibility although the Chelsea -Barca tensions of the past might not be totally resolved as yet.
Put it into consideration, Rijkaard tends to play “attractive” footy, a brand of footy that is lusted by Roman Abramovich while there’s suggestions that Ronaldiho will be at Chelsea next season.
So, it COULD be that Ronaldinho and Rijkaard will be at the bridge while Mourinho and Lampard head over to Barca, it almost makes sense, Mourinho once was a translator at Barca and he would probably get Lampard to follow him while also having Deco in his team.
A Dream? well no one can say for sure.
Real Madrid
This just got to be wierd, Real already have a new coach but it seems that the bookmarkers feel that this is a possibilty, i know Robben will be praying it ain’t so….
AC Milan
My opinion: NEVER
