It was not a repeat of the famous 7-1 thrashing but Man Utd did what they seem to be good at, a 1-0 win agaisnt Roma in last night’s Champions League game.
Wayne Rooney scored his first goal of the season and what a goal it was!
The win gives United six points from the six available so far in this season’s Champions League group stage and, with Sporting Lisbon’s 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev in the other Group F game of the night, United move into a comfortable three-point lead at the top of the fledgling group.
The result was ideal for United, but yet again they failed to create the free-flowing football that saw them win the Premier League and reach the semi-finals of this competition last season.
