Henk ten Cate is all set to join Chelsea as Ajax announced on Monday that they have reached agreement with the London club to release their coach.

The Ajax coach has been linked with a role on Chelsea manager Avram Grant’s coaching staff, as the Premier League side look to rebuild following the departure of former boss Jose Mourinho.

In a statement on their official website, Ajax said: “In talks with Chelsea, Ajax have reached agreement with the English club about the immediate transfer of Henk ten Cate to the London-based side.

While Avram Grant will be handling the team for the rest of this season rumors are that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich intends to reunite Rijkaard with his former Barca No2 Henk ten Cate at Stamford Bridge next summer.

The question now is…will Rijkaard leave the Nou Camp?
