I watched this game last night after a wholesome dinner and truth be told i wasn’t enjoying it for the first 15 minutes as Villa were in control of the game and scored early thanks to Gabriel Agbonlahor’s header and to futher add to the misery United were without Vidic and Ronaldo and the team looked jaded, but who can blame them? it was indeed a busy international week for most players.
Anderson also pissed me off big time, i was expecting much from this youngster and i’m sure everyone will say they he needs time to settle in but it looks like the “curse of the Brazilian” has come upon United again…remember the Kleberson debacle?
Throughout the game Anderson seemed off timed and his passes were very weak and i didn’t see him do any party tricks which frankly he could have done towards the end of the game as United were cruising 4-1.
Anywayz I’m glad United are now looking like a team with Championship credentials again, no more 1-0 wins as the floodgates seems to have been broken and to think that United beat Villa at Villa Park without Vidic, Neville, Hargreaves, Carrick, Saha and for the most part without Ronaldo.
A Rooney double,Craig Gardner own-goal and a Ryan Giggs effort ensured United keep pace with Arsenal who earlier in the day came off 2-0 winners over Bolton Wanderers.Tevez missed a host of chances but i guess among all the players on the field he was the one that felt the effects of jet lagged the most, he did however make an assist for Rooney’s second goal.
