AC Milan’s Kaka has pipped Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d’Or by French magazine France Football.The gong, formerly known as the European Player of the Year award, was voted for by 96 journalists from around the world from a shortlist of 50 players.
Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo was second with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in third place just ahead of Chelsea’s Didier Drogba.
A very big congrats to Kaka but i know for sure many will feel that Ronaldo is more deserving of the award but i think Kaka who lead Milan to win the Champions League plus scoring against Man Utd in the semi-final deserves the award and did i mention he was the top scorer when Milan won the Champions League for the seventh time in May with a total of 10 goals.
Kaka is also a finalist for the FIFA World Player of the Year award on Dec. 17, along with FC Barcelona’s Messi and Manchester United’s Ronaldo and maybe Ronaldo will win that one.
