At the heels of the news that Drogba might be out for months not weeks after a bout with serious knee injury it looks like Avram Grant is now on the prowl for a striker come January and Anelka and Nicklas Bendtner is high on his list.

Now i would understand why one might go for Anelka but Nicklas Bendtner? what has he proven so far that Chelsea are setting their sights on him? i mean they do have the likes of Shevchenko in their team and surely he is who you would turn to in the absense of Drogba instead of bringing in reinforcements?

The agent (and father) of Nicklas Bendtner, the Arsenal and Denmark striker, has refused to comment on reports linking the forward with a move across London to Chelsea.

According to some reports, Bendtner is top of Chelsea manager Avram Grant’s wanted list, along with Nicolas Anelka and Benni McCarthy.

Some sources claim that Chelsea are preparing to offer Arsenal some £12million to prise Bendtner away from the Emirates.
