A Didier Drogba-less Chelsea srtuggled against Sunderland but they still managed to churned out a 2-0 win agaisnt Roy Keane’s man. Andriy Shevchenko came in for a rare start, and the Ukrainian got the opener in the 23rd minute before a penalty from Frank Lampard 15 minutes from time clinched the points.
However, Avram Grant’s side looked severely limited going forward, and apart from the two goals, they barely created a chance despite starting with an adventurous looking 4-4-2 formation.
