Another Mexican is on his way to the Premier League, Nery Castillo who lighted up the Copa America with Mexico has struck a deal to join Man City on a one year loan. The deal looked to be in doubt when the Ukrainian side demanded 5 million euros (£3.6 million) for the transfer.
But Castillo, 23, stunned the side by agreeing to pay that money himself just to get away from the club.
“Nery Castillo’s desire to make this deal happen has been extraordinary,” City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh said.
“He has made a significant financial contribution in order to complete this move by paying most of the loan fee himself. This proves how much he wants to play for Manchester City in the Premier League.
“We are excited and delighted that another young established international has joined the football club.”
All i can remember is that Man Utd were also interested in him, but in the end they went for Tevez (no regrest there!).Castillo has the potential to become an important player for Man City but as he has proven..potential is not enough.

I think he will be a good addition to Man City and I think if he does well he could well get a permanent deal at the end of the loan. I am keen to see what he will do come January.
