Inter Milan has signed Nuno Maniche from Atletico Madrid albeit on loan till the end of the season where they will have the opportunity to sign him outright for £4m.
The Nerazzurri have been desperate to sign a midfielder this month due to a spate of injuries to the likes of Patrick Vieira, Luis Figo and Olivier Dacourt.
There had been reports that boss Roberto Mancini was against the transfer, however he now appears to be delighted to have the player on board.
“I think that he is an excellent player and with the problems that Walter Samuel and Olivier Dacourt have he could bring useful experience and quality to all competitions,†Mancini said yesterday.
