There was a host of familiar faces in yesterday’s match which pitted Nigeria against Ivory Coast, the likes of Drogba, Kalou, Matins, Toure were on the pitch and it was a pretty tight game that was dominated by Ivory Coast but the game only manages to produce one goal and what a goal it was as the commentators dubbed it “Solomon Slalom” as Solomon Kalou of Chelsea weaved his way towards a goal.
Aruna Dindane went close to doubling the tally three minutes later but the striker missed the target after outpacing the Nigeria defence.
