He looked lacking in confidence and always seemed to pick the wrong option on the ball. It seemed he couldn't cope at such a big club but he's improved so much recently and looks the real deal now. Whether he's the next Scholes is a different issue though. I think he's a very different player to Scholes whose passing and ability to dictate games was his big strength.
