Short of a possible successor, Ferguson named the closest candidate he can find. I agree with betblogger that Paul Scholes skills is sublime while Nani is more of explosive pace and dribbling.

I have to agree I thought Anderson was going to be a flop for United when he first came over. He looked lacking in confidence and always seemed to pick the wrong option on the ball. It seemed he couldn't cope at such a big club but he's improved so much recently and looks the real deal now. Whether he's the next Scholes is a different issue though. I think he's a very different player to Scholes whose passing and ability to dictate games was his big strength. I don't think Anderson is like that but relies on pace and trickery to make his mark on a game.
