This is not to bash Liverpool FC as a club, but just to point out one of the most stupidiest comment this season, this undistinguish title goes to Alvaro Arbeloa who insisted that Fernando Torres deserves Player of Year ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Alvaro Arbeloa is convinced Liverpool teammate Fernando Torres deserves to be named Player of the Year ahead of Manchester United’s 35-goal winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
I think even the most faithful of Reds fan will have to admit that this season belongs to Ronaldo, his crosses, his work rate and not to mention his goal scoring feats for somebody who is a winger and not and out and out striker is phenomenal, and last night’s game against Aston Villa where he scored a goal and assisted in all the other goals, simply fantastic.
He even tries to do stuff that most people don’t even dare to do albeit sometimes he doesn’t pull it off well but than again he makes attempt and never gives up, he is also the most fouled player in the League and everytime he falls he pulls his himself back up to score or make an assist.
There is no doubt in my mind that Torres is a really good player but when we’re talking about who deserves the Player of Year i think the choice is obvious - Cristiano Ronaldo
