Manchester United have one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League after beating Roma 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 36th goal of the season - and his seventh in Europe - before Wayne Rooney scored a second to give the Premier League side an advantage of two away goals to take into the second leg of the quarter-final at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo scored a brilliant goal and he even injured himself a little. coming from midfield he sprung into action with a header from Scholes cross to put United in the lead, and though the second goal was scored by Rooney, i think a big sum of credit should go to Par Ji Sung who never gave up and headed the ball into the penalty area to cause Roma’s defence some problems which allowed Rooney to tap in the second goal.
